Today I wanted to share a drugstore foundation that I recently tried that I absolutely love. It is the Revlon Age Defying Firming and Lifting Makeup
foundation. After using this Revlon Foundation the other day for the first time, I was completely blown away by how glowing it left my skin looking.
The coverage it provided was truly more than shocking in the best possible way. I truly felt, and still do feel, that this Revlon Age Defying Firming + Lifting Make up is absolutely better than other high and foundations that I’ve purchased for up to five times the price.
Revlon; Best Drugstore Makeup? |
Not only is this Revlon foundation so amazing, but it is only about $11 at the drugstore. The other day when I did purchase it at the Walgreen's Beauty Event, they were also offering buy one get one 1/2 price. Essentially, with specials like this, you could get a back up of this foundation for only five dollars! Which is so completely amazing since this foundation truly is an almost exact dupe for luxury foundations like the Nars Sheer Glow foundation or the Giorgio Armani Power Fabric foundation.
Glowing Skin Makeup Tutorial |
I have used both of those foundations and I truly feel that this Revlon foundation is an exactly dupe for those formulations. This Revlon foundation is said to be an anti-aging foundation with tri-shield technology, that's hydrating and filled with a smoothing serum, which is said to give a radiance and a primer all in one.
I can attest to the fact that the first time I used this foundation, I used it without primer and it did seem to give the same exact effect as when I use my foundation with primer. So, luckily for us, I feel there is truth in that brand statement.
According to how this drugstore foundation is described on Amazon, this product will firm, lift, hydrate and cover. I also agree with this statement, as it definitely did hydrate and cover my dark circles and uneven skin texture. While it did hydrate, it was not oily feeling at all and did not leave me feeling greasy at the end of the day, which I absolutely love. From what I experienced, I think this would be a great drugstore foundation for dry skin.
Drawbacks
The Revlon foundation I purchased does say on the outer packaging SPF 20 but I noticed the Amazon version of this foundation it says it’s SPF 15. I’m not sure which foundation you will receive but I know that mine says the coverage is SPF 20. For me, this is not enough SPF since I prefer to wear SPF 50 or higher. That’s the only drawback for me personally with this foundation. I will have to also use a sunscreen in addition to using this foundation to get the SPF protection I prefer.
This foundation is also said to be available in 12 shades. I wish there was a broader shade range for deeper complexions. Have you seen a more shade range for this product in store? I have only seen the 12 shades available on the Amazon site, but perhaps in store they have more shades available. Please let me know.
Drugstore Natural Makeup Tutorial
I love this foundation so much, I created this natural makeup tutorial today using this Revlon foundation and a few other new drugstore makeup products I can't get enough of.
Best Drugstore Concealer |
For this natural makeup look pictured above, I paired the Revlon Age Defying Foundation with the Revlon Colorstay concealer. I would describe this Revlon concealer as a more than good drugstore concealer. I actually do feel like this is my favorite Drugstore concealer and probably one of the best drugstore concealers out there. I absolutely love how it feels on my skin, how it truly does stay in place and provides amazing coverage.
I love how this Revlon Colorstay makeup completely covers my dark circles and it provides a flawless look, that probably really could wear up to 24 hours. It's full coverage, yet does not feel heavy or tacky on my skin. It feels very lightweight and for that reason it is truly my absolute favorite concealer right now.
I would describe it as better than high end as well and best of all, it's priced at only about $7. As I mentioned earlier, at the Walgreen's Beauty Event, they're offering buy one get 1/2 off, so hopefully you will catch this amazing product when it is BOGO and get it for even less than $7, which is so amazing.
This Revlon Colorstay concealer is buildable, so you can wear a little bit or build it up for a more glam look. I feel that either way it provides just the most amazing coverage. The only benefit to wearing it by building it up more would be a more glamorous appearance.
Regardless of the look that you’re going for, it will provide amazing, weightless coverage, that truly stays in place all day without any creasing, caking or settling into fine lines or accentuating wrinkles. This product does not do that in anyway shape or form, so I absolutely love this drugstore concealer so much.
To set my foundation and concealer today I use the NYX professional makeup mineral finishing powder. This drugstore translucent setting powder is a mineral powder makeup that reduces and mattifies shine, helping you to achieve a smoother finish. It is infused with a real minerals and it helps to definitely banish uneven texture and set your make up looks.
I applied this NYX professional makeup mineral powder, which is a great drugstore setting powder, with my Morphe beauty sponge. I also truly love this Morphe sponge, just be sure to thoroughly wet it really well under running water before use. It has to be thoroughly saturated with water to get that nice beauty blender bounce ability. I purchased this Morphe complexion sponge makes for a “streak free application” and flawless finish, while the flat top really effortlessly applies the powder products into your skin. It is latex free and In such a great drugstore dupe for the beauty blender.
In this video that I uploaded today I also used the Real Techniques Angled Contour brush, which I absolutely love too. You'll see in the video, I mention how if you press it too hard against your skin, the metal can kind of scratch your face. Not that it would make a mark, but technically I guess if you pushed it too hard. Other than that, this brush is really amazing but be very careful with it. Hopefully I will probably purchase another one and see if it was just that I bought a bad one, because this is such a great brush, I would hate for you beauties not be able to use it as well.
The brush that I’m speaking about is called the Real Techniques Rebel Edge Half Fan makeup brush. This brush helps you to define and blend powders, highlighter and blush to create a flawless look. It is truly is one of the best brushes that I have ever used and I actually have seen a very similar brush to this on other websites for over $100.
Hopefully, I did get a maybe a broken version of this brush. I’m going to purchase another one and I will update you guys because this brush is phenomenal. If you have it, I hope that you beauties don’t have
the same problem that I had. Regardless, I’m not even going to lie, I still love it, I’m just extra careful with it.

To complete this natural drugstore make up tutorial today, I use the KKW beauty nude lip liner 2. This Kim Kardashian makeup lipliner is so amazing and priced at only $12 at Ulta beauty. The shade nude 2 is described as a warm nude pencil and while I feel that it is pretty dark, the dark shade of number 2 contrasts beautifully against lipstick. I would love to buy the 1.5 but it’s always sold out.
The dark shade of the number 2 "adds dimension" and shape to the lips which I love. The KKW Beauty lipliner formula is "creamy and luxurious" as it's described on the KKW site and I totally agree with this statement. It truly feels creamy and luxurious and glides smoothly over your lips, having long wear as well.
For this natural makeup look, I topped my lips with the Colourpop lippie balm in Bellini. In my opinion, this is the best drugstore Chapstick type of product I've ever used. I have never used a lip balm that so effectively healed my chapped lips and prevented them from getting chapped in this cold weather.
Best Lip Balm, Chapstick Type Product |
Normally when I’m traveling my lips become very chapped, but with this Colourpop lippie balm, my lips did not get chapped at all from traveling or the cold winter weather, which this is a first for me.
They do have a great scrub and lip balm duo at Ulta priced at only $12. I think this is an amazing drugstore lip balm, better than high end.
Best Setting Spray for Oily Skin |
Finally, as always, I prep and set my make up looks with my Alegra Chetti Beauty Mist for glowing skin and long lasting her makeup to. This setting spray is amazing for oily skin, like mine, as well as being amazing for dry, mature and sensitive complexions.
I truly feel it is the best setting spray for oily skin, as you can see I have extremely oily skin and this product works wonders for me. It actually balances out my sebaceous glands, helping me to produce less oil. This setting spray definitely helps to keep me shine free with a longer-lasting makeup too, yet glowing with a radiant, flawless finished.
Best Setting Spray |
It’s all natural, cruelty free and made of the highest quality, clean beauty ingredients. This best setting spray smells amazing and the applicator provides the perfect fine mist.

I almost forgot to mention, I'm wearing the new Kiss Lashes Falscara Kit here too and I really love it. I actually wore these lashes for over 48hrs and they stayed beautifully. They provide a natural, glam alternative to strip lashes, as these are clusters of sort of individual lashes that you apply underneath your real lashes, instead of on top, like traditional lashes I've worn previously. I love the mascara like wand you use to apply the lash glue..so genius!
