It was a beyond amazing event featuring unbelievable performances by Wyclef Jean, Bibi Bourelly & Jazzy Amra in celebration of Black History Month.
Wyclef performed with so much passion, singing, rapping, dancing and getting the crowd to go wild. He spoke about his Haitian culture, how he immigrated as a child, coming to live with his pastor father and his mother in Brooklyn, NY.
He spoke about how he loved to listen to Jimi Hendrix, practicing his guitar in his room for hours as a child and how he believed we have to stand up for our beliefs now, like Martin Luther King.
Jazzy Amra of the Bronx sang with him and was so amazing and Bibi Bourelly was..there are no words..she is complete greatness!! a true genius, reminding me of a modern day Janis Joplin. It was simply the most incredible experience to see her perform and to meet with her after.
